So I’ve been living in Hong Kong for almost 3 years now, being raised in Australia where food quality is just through the roof, there are these constant little things I crave when I’m back in hk. One of them being Max Brenner in Australia. It is possibly the most delicious and famous Chocolate cafe inAustralia, having the best chocolate covered waffle I have ever tasted.
So much to our surprise on one of our daily strolls through Central, Lee and I stumbled upon this newWaffle Joint right off Wellington st! This shop is extremely hard to miss due to it’s colourful and modern comic book style shopfront. Even though I had just eaten lunch, I couldn’t give it a miss!
Lured by the amazing smell of waffles, the inside is just as exciting a the exterior! Eye- catching decor, clean interior, bar seats and a wall full of welcoming messages and customer comments, you know immediately this place can’t be too bad! Not to mention the rack full of freshly made waffles, pressedagainst the glass, its hard not to dribble… just a little!
Overall this small shop is designed for a quick grab and go, unless you don’t mind sitting on the barstools!

OVERALL RATING 10/10
FLAVOUR MATCH – 10/10
CREATIVITY OF FLAVOUR COMBINATION – 10/10
PRESENTATION – 10/10
PRICE – 10/10 EXTREMELY REASONABLE! The price point they have set is just perfectly affordable for a quick lunch dessert or office snack. Able to tap all target markets! This is my favourite part! Good value for money!
INTERIOR DESIGN – 8/10 could be a bit bigger with sit down chairs and tables, but I understand rent in Hk is just ridiculous so I don’t mind that too much
CUSTOMER SERVICE – 10/10
CLEANLINESS OF KITCHEN – 10/10
FAVOURITE COMBINATION : WAFFLE DEVIL! CHOCOLATE EXPLOSION!
BEST PART OF THE DISH – 2 strips of chocolate poked through the centres of the waffles and melts as they cook! So with every bite, you get a little extra chocolate oozing into your mouth!
